SLC x NAMIwalks

This year, the Self Love Club (SLC) proudly participated in NAMIWalks, an event organized by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). The event raises awareness and funds for mental health initiatives, including suicide prevention.

The SLC team exceeded their fundraising goal, bringing in over $1,300! They spent a beautiful day walking alongside supporters and spreading the message of self-love and community. Some members shared their personal stories, while others simply offered their presence and support.

Why Suicide Prevention Matters

Suicide prevention is a cause close to the hearts of many SLC members, including the author of this blog post. Suicide is a serious public health issue that affects people of all ages. In the United States alone, millions of people are personally impacted by suicidal thoughts or attempts each year.

The Importance of Self-Love and Community

The SLC believes that self-love and strong social connections are crucial for mental well-being. By listening attentively to each other, checking in on loved ones, and practicing self-care, we can create a more supportive and compassionate world.
